Luckily, the Magnetic Grip Barcode Scanner Mount provides you with a safe holster to keep the scanner safely stowed while still easily accessible. The holster is magnetic and will stick to any magnetic metal surface, but it also comes with a steel sheet and a 3M tape sticker in case such a surface isn't available. Simply attach the metal sheet to whatever surface you want to be your scanner's home, and the resilient metal tape will hold your device in place all through the long work day.
