All four ports support USB Battery Charging (BC) specification v1.2. The U360-004-AL provides plug-and-play convenience, with no external power supply, special software or complicated setup required. The U360-004-AL is bus-powered via the computer's USB 3.0 port, and for most applications no external power is required.

The hub has a micro-USB port for connecting a user-supplied power supply if needed, for example for an external hard drive needing to be powered independently of the hub. It’s also backward compatible with previous USB generations.
