The Vertiv Geist Rack Transfer Switch (RTS) is a versatile rack power distribution (rPDU) that provides redundant power to single corded devices. The RTS automatically detects the loss of power and switches the load to the secondary power source in 4-8 milliseconds without the need for human intervention. It helps ensure your critical equipment remains powered even in the event of a power failure. Select models of the RTS come with input monitoring, while other models also have outlet level switching that allows you to remotely manage receptacles, helping you avoid accidental overloads and reboot unresponsive IT equipment. Depending on the needs of your business, you can choose between a variety of Vertiv Geist RTS models that each have a unique combination of outlets.
- Select models are equipped with Combination Outlet C13/C19, which accommodate C14 and C20 plugs interchangeably, allowing you to support common IT equipment using just one rack PDU. High-retention and P-Lock compatible hybrid outlets reduce the risk of downtime caused by accidental disconnection of cords
- Additional models feature NEMA 5-15R, NEMA 5-20R, U-Lock C13 or NEMA L-630R receptacles
- Analyze the unit’s power distribution and environmental data through a Web browser to evaluate energy usage and maximize uptime
- Visible Light Communication (VLC) Technology allows you to view comprehensive data from a mobile device with the Vertiv rPDU scanner application
- Addition of optional environmental sensors allow you to monitor environmental data like temperature, humidity, and rack door position.
- All Vertiv Geist Rack Power Distribution Units are TAA-compliant and individually tested. Also included in the offering are rPDUs with RoHS, UL, and CE compliance.

EASY TO USE FRONT PANEL
The RTS has an easy-to-use front panel that provides visual identification of the active power source for easy monitoring. It also allows users to do a manual transfer of the power source. The transfer can be done either by touch of a button or remotely, so users have options on how to manage power loads during maintenance or emergency power loss.
OUTLET FLEXIBILITY
Select models in the Vertiv Geist RTS product line are equipped with the Combination Outlets C13/C19. These hybrid outlets function as both a C13 and C19 receptacle. The outlets accommodate both C14 and C20 plug types interchangeably, providing you the flexibility to support common critical IT equipment using just a single rack PDU.
UPGRADEABLE TECHNOLOGY
The Vertiv Geist rPDUs equipped with the upgradeable Interchangeable Monitoring Device (IMD) allow you to upgrade your monitoring technology as the needs of your business evolves. The IMDs are hot-swappable so scheduled downtime is not required for an upgrade.
VERTIV INTELLIGENCE DIRECTOR
Users can streamline deployment with IP aggregation of up to 50 supported Vertiv devices on a single IP address using the Vertiv Intelligence Director. Users can also have a view of critical IT equipment power usage either at the rack or via remote access. Users can also power cycle unresponsive IT equipment remotely with select switched RTS models. You can set thresholds to receive alarms when power conditions fall outside the desired range for added protection.
WARRANTY
All Vertiv Geist rPDUs come with a default three-year warranty, but you can extend it for two more years if you register your unit within 120 days of purchase.
