The 10 Gigabit small form-factor pluggable (SFP+) module provides a full-duplex 10G bps in each direction for Ethernet operation on Netgear-managed switches.

Netgear Prosafe AXM762, a small form factor the network interface module format known as "Pluggable" is small, hot-pluggable, and used in both data communications and telecommunications applications. 

A media-specific transceiver, such as one for a copper cable or fiber-optic cable, can be installed in a modular slot called an SFP interface on networking devices.

The switch will automatically detect the AXM762, so you can simply plug it into an available module slot. The module can be inserted or removed while the switch is operational.

Insert the module firmly into the slot that supports the SFP+ interface. Make sure the optical cable you use is single mode LC to LC duplex cable.

If you want to remove a Prosafe AXM762 module:

Release the module latch by pulling down the handle bar across the module, and pulling the module out of the module slot.
