Switched Unit Level Monitored Rack PDU VP52100 is a 20A, 120V 1U horizontal with input power monitoring and outlet level switching. It has 12 NEMA 5-20R receptacles and a NEMA L5-20P providing 1.9kW of power capacity. A Switched rPDU allows you to turn off outlets to avoid accidental overloads and remotely power cycle equipment to reboot unresponsive equipment. The unit is equipped with an environmental sensor port and dual ethernet ports for IP aggregation.
Horizontal Power Distribution with Outlet Level Switching
The Vertiv Geist Upgradeable Horizontal Switched Rack PDU delivers reliable power distribution in a horizontal form factor. Mounted in the U-space, this 1U rack PDU offers easy access to the network card and local LED display from the front of the rack, unlike 0U vertical rack PDUs installed at the back. The small form factor also makes it ideal for short racks and small network cabinets. This family of Switched rPDUs come with input power monitoring and outlet level switching, allowing you to remotely manage receptacles to avoid accidental overloads and reboot unresponsive critical IT equipment. Depending on the needs of your business, you can choose between a variety of models of the Vertiv Geist Horizontal Switched Rack PDU.
- Select models are equipped with Combination Outlet C13/C19, which accommodate C14 and C20 plugs interchangeably, allowing you to support common IT equipment using just one rack PDU. High-retention and P-Lock compatible hybrid outlets reduce the risk of downtime caused by accidental disconnection of cords
- Other models feature NEMA 5-15R or NEMA 5-20R outlets
- Analyze the unit’s power distribution and environmental data through a Web browser to evaluate energy usage and maximize uptime
- Visible Light Communication (VLC) Technology allows you to view comprehensive data from a mobile device with the Vertiv rPDU scanner application
- Addition of optional environmental sensors allow you to monitor environmental data like temperature, humidity, and door position.

The horizontal form factor makes the Vertiv Geist Upgradeable Horizontal Rack PDU ideal for short racks and small network closets that don’t have a lot of space for a long, vertical PDU. Depending on your business needs, you can choose between a PDU with six outlets, or a unit with 12 outlets.
OUTLET FLEXIBILITY
Select models in this line of Vertiv Geist Upgradeable Horizontal Rack PDUs are equipped with the Combination Outlets C13/C19. These hybrid outlets function as both a C13 and C19 receptacle.
